Ragopedia Volume One
Exotic Scales of North India

Ragopedia Cover Illustration

Now lets start our journey into the introductory theory chapters as given in the Ragopedia manual. We hope they help you demystify some of the Indian music jargon. We are also looking for ways to easily present the music notes with staff notation on the Internet. Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated. For the time being the notes follow the Indian sargam notation standards. That is Sa (C), Re (D), Ga (E), Ma (F), Pa (G), Dha (A), Ni (B), Sa(u) (Upper octave C). The Ragopedia book features both sargam (Indian solfegio) and staff notations.
