Lehra in Tintal - Practice CD

by Ashwin Batish and S. D. Batish

Lehras are very popular in India. These are melodic loops for practicing solo tabla. These rhythms can also be used for practice of Kathak dance. This release contains the very popular Tintal cycle (16 beats). The four tempos recorded here are: Ati Vilambit - very slow, vilambit - slow, madhya - medium, and drut - fast. We have kept the tabla and the harmonuim on seperate channels so you can dial in the balance that suits your taste or requirement.
